Susan - looks like you got your wished-for rain. ::g::

On the other hand, evidently DC, VA and MD have all declared states of emergency, pre-planning for an oh-noes tropical storm. I'm thinking this is why my bottled water was "out of stock" when they delivered my groceries last night.

Really, WTF, people? Ernesto is a tropical depression now, we expect some heavy rains and wind today only. Yeah, probably a little localized flooding, but c'mon! /weather rant

OMGYAYFRIDAY!!!

Started off the day with a trip to CVS for some OTC migraine meds, b/c for some reason, my bottle of Exedrin Migraine went missing.
At work, N and I (well, mostly N) presented a forum on Movable Type. We hold Friday Forums on occasional Fridays on tech topics of interest to our staff. We always have bagels and muffins from Balducci's. Today, we also had mimosas. This afternoon, there will be a late-day pre-holiday beer gathering. I totally <3 pre-holiday Fridays, especially, when it's my birthday weekend. ::g::

No SciFi Friday tonight, but hey, that's what DVDs are for. I finished watching series 4 of Footballers Wives and am pre-ordering series 5 from the UK. It's total crack.

Some folks are mourning the loss of summer. Oddly, or perhaps not oddly, I've always become more energetic and excited when fall creeps closer. September 1 is the harbinger of my favorite time of the year. One of the reasons I moved to the Mid-Atlantic was so I could once again experience autumn - leaves changing, crisp breezes, sweater weather. There are many lovely things about San Antonio, but sadly, no seasons. Well, yeah, summer, Summer, SUMMER and Oh, Maybe I Should Wear a Jacket. ::g::

I like the cool, dread the heat, and am so very glad the temps have dropped. I said it's odd, perhaps because I was born on a tropical island, and although we lived for a few years in Ohio/Pennsylvania, the majority of my life was spent in Central/South Texas. You'd think I'd like the heat, baking in the sun, etc. Not so much. I'm so much happier in temps that range between 65 and 75 degrees Fahrenheit.

Yeah, I'm in hog heaven with the temps today. :) (and of course, THREE-DAY WEEKEND!!!)

The Veteran

You scored 86%!

You've picked up the majority of the classic rock basics. You probably have a classic rock collection and can sing along with most of the songs on your local radio station.

This is not the highest score, but it is arguably the best: that subtle combination of impressive knowledge and not being a pretentious geek.

My test tracked 1 variable How you compared to other people your age and gender:
