...and because of that, people are driving like Lex Luthor - except maybe not in a Porsche. ::g::

Very pretty outside. Roads fairly good on my commute (which is minimal). I took this opportunity to stop at Perks (local coffee shop) and get brekkie. Mocha, carrot nut muffin and a pack of McVite's for later. (choccy digestives). The owners are a lovely couple. He's from England, she's Korean. They know me by name. I prefer to stop here rather than Starbucks.

Last night, went to A La Lucia, another local, famiily owned restaurant. Just up the street, it does a mean lunch menu, and (my first time) dinner was superb. Took P, who was once co-owner of our company, and now lives in R.I. and works on marketing stuff part time. She was in town for the day for a meeting (that ended up canceling), so she, A (another project mgr) and I splurged a bit. We bought wine. (Note, this place is so good, James Carville, who lives nearby is often spotted there for lunch. I saw him on Friday.)

Tonight is the MWA board meeting. Tomorrow, I get to go see Narnia with [livejournal.com profile] beledibabe! w00t! I got freebie tix - and since my client meeting is in Bethesda, I'm just meeting up with her directly after, since the movie is at Mazza Gallerie. We plan to do early dinner, then movie.

Saturday, is gay cowboys in a matinee, then a dessert party at 8:00. Such the popular one. ;-)

John, re: your email - I'm not teasing. I'm really going to write that for you. Can't guarantee when, but it will come...ehr, they...never mind.
