RIP Frank Kelly Freas
Jan. 3rd, 2005 04:10 pmKelly Freas was one of the first "famous" people I met in fandom, nearly 20 years ago. I was working a con in Austin (at a vendor
table). His table was next to mine. I had the privilege of spending those three days getting to know him and his lovely wife.
Thanks to Google, I found a photo from that con.
I'm just behind the arm of the man shaking Kelly Freas' hand. All you can see is my back and the back of my head - for whatever reason, I was bent over.
He was an amazing talent and a wonderfully kind person.
He will be missed.
