In which there was pie

Back home now after a wonderful feast at
darthrami and
strange_selkie's.
I got to meet several friends of theirs, including
luna_k and
chaos_pockets, plus a lovely lovely family from France via Toronto. The children (2 girls, ages 4 and 6) were adorable, and never once obnoxious. We all watched Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and the girls were watching The Lion King in French as I left.
The cats were all fairly well behaved.
The food: to die for.
We started with yummy cocktails, French brie and goat cheese (really, from France) which was out of this world.
Turkey, dressing, mashed 'taters, carrot mousse, green bean casserole and bread.
A digestif of sorbet, followed by chocolate ganache torte and pumpkin pie, both with homemade whipped cream, rounded out the meal.
I am a happy happy chickwriter. Especially since I got my own CARE package of yummy treats.
There's nothing like family, friends and the ability to appreciate them.
