He's out of surgery

My step-dad is out of surgery (as of about 4:30 my time) and is in recovery. My mom hasn't seen him, but the doctor says that he is doing well and that they didn't see any cancer left.

He will be in intensive care tonight (standard post-op for a long operation). Mom plans to hang out until she can see him and be with him for a while and then will go home to sleep.

I imagine we'll hear more later.

Work is insane and I've been stressed all day, but am so very very glad for this news.
