Scenario: Chickwriter got a gift certificate to Amazon.com for referring a new employee. It's for $250. (whee!!)
Thing is, I'm totally waffling over what to spend the money on. I don't buy books here, because I prefer to buy from my indy sources.

ETA: Uhm, it occurred to me that this is a bit greedy of me to gloat, especially after the new car and the fact that so many of my friends have $$ issues, so, ignore this if you want. I really just want some decent advice.
