Well, it's all over but the last hurrah.
Yesterday was nothing more than a big blur - from breakfast (which included a phone call to my publisher - more on that later) - to my panel, getting to meet
neadods in person (yay!), a meeting with an agent and finally the banquet.
Nope, I didn't win the Agatha, but one of my best buddies, Elaine Viets, did. This was her 8th nomination and her first win. No more Susan Lucci Syndrome.
Several of us nominees and friends o'nominees closed out the bar last night.
Today, I have no obligations, so I'm dressing comfy, having a leisurely breakfast and then heading home at a reasonable hour. Later this evening I'll meet some friends for our traditional post Malice dinner.
Tomorrow, I will SLEEP.
Totally not caught up on LJ - only skimming posts - so if you need hugs, congratulations or whatever - consider them sent.
Back to packing...how DID I end up with more stuff?
Oh - final note - I won the Canadian gift basket at the silent auction (...can we say DUH?) It was donated by Mary Jane Maffini, a lovely Canuck author and friend. Copies of each of her books, and a cute Mountie Moose plush. :)
